New programme! Now recruiting for 2024-25
The Speak Out Challenge is expanding! Thanks to our generous funders, we are now offering secondary state schools in the East Midlands the opportunity to participate in the Speak Out Challenge.
The East Midlands Speak Out Challenge trains Year 10s in the art of public speaking, supporting the development of young people’s communication skills, building their confidence and empowering them to speak out and be heard.
Workshops are aligned with GCSE English Speaking & Listening outcomes and support whole school approaches to oracy education. Read more about it here.
For academic year 2024-25:
*additional workshops can be booked at the subsidised cost of £200
What happens after the workshop?
The Speak Out Challenge programme has had a positive impact on 536,264 young people across the country:
87% of participants have learned skills that will help them in next stage of education, career and life
96% have learned more about classmates’ viewpoints, faiths, feelings and values
