Suffolk Speak Out Challenge

Funded by Frank Jackson Foundation, the Speak Out Challenge returning to Suffolk for a second year

We are recruiting for 2024-25

Book a workshop for your Year 10s

Thanks to the success of last year and the generosity of the Frank Jackson Foundation, we are now recruiting for the Suffolk Speak Out Challenge for 2024-25!

15 schools will take part in the Speak Out Challenge, benefiting from a FREE communication skills and confidence-building workshop for 25-30 Year 10 students. Every school is guaranteed a place in the live regional final, taking place in the summer term (date announcement coming soon).

Expanding our reach across the East will benefit young people who are lacking opportunities and enable them to find their voice.

HOW IT WORKS

  • All state secondary schools in Suffolk are eligible for a FREE workshop and place in the competition.
  • Booking a workshop guarantees the school entry into the Suffolk Speak Out Challenge Final.
  • After the workshop, schools hold an Assembly Final, where students compete to be chosen to represent their school at the live Final event.
  • The Final is a prestigious event giving students the opportunity to share their opinions and be heard by a wider audience, including a panel of VIP judges.
  • By the end of the night, one student will be crowned Suffolk Speak Out Challenge Champion.

Do you have a future Speak Out Challenge Champion amongst your Year 10s?

Check out last year’s winning speech “Music makes life better” by Evlyn Bosworth to see what your students could achieve.

“I know this will help me become a lot more confident in school and careers in the future. This has been an amazing opportunity, so for those coming up next year, I would encourage them to say yes and make the best of this opportunity “

– Evlyn, Winner of Suffolk Speak Out Challenge 2024
